Store Features

   Access to some features described below may not be part of your subscription. If you cannot view certain features on the site, ask your administrator about feature availability.
   Purchase books and other course materials (Store)
   Most online instructor-led classes at CompuMaster Online Training require a textbook (or other course materials). When you register for a class, you'll have the opportunity to purchase the textbook from our Store.

Note: You must be logged in to CompuMaster Online Training to access the Store. Once you're logged in, you can browse the Store and purchase any other materials to assist you in your learning experience.

To purchase required course materials:

  1. Register for an online instructor-led class (some workshops may require a textbook).
  2. Click Order This Book to purchase the required textbook. This takes you to the exact page for the book you're ordering.
  3. Add the book to your shopping cart by clicking shopping cart to the right of the specified title.
  4. Click Checkout. The Checkout page will display.
  5. Complete the billing and shipping information, then click Continue. (* indicates a required field.)
  6. Click the arrow in the Shipping Method drop-down list box to select your shipping method. (If you need more information on shipping methods and cost, click the arrow next to Shipping Information).
  7. Complete the payment information payment method, then click Place Order.
  8. Your order # displays with a message stating the order has been confirmed and payment has been authorized. (If your order was not processed see purchasing errors.

   Browse for course materials and other products by department
(Store)
   Not only do we sell the materials required for our online instructor-led courses, we also offer many other products including Journals, vLab sessions and QuickSkill CBTs to further enhance your knowledge in various technologies. Browse through our departments to see the available products.

To browse for course material by department in the Store:

  1. Click a department name in the Store navigation bar.
  2. A list of the types of products appears. Click the product type you're interested in (like Books, Journals or vLab sessions).
    Note: vLab sessions are offered to all students and can be purchased through the Internetworking department in the Store. Students enrolled in the Cisco library begin with 16 free vLab sessions. These sessions are organized around the Online Instructor-Led ICND course. You can learn more about purchasing vLab exercises below.
  3. A list of all product types available for the department is displayed.
  4. Click the Buy this item to purchase the product, or click its title to read more about it.

   Search for course materials (Store)
   To search for course materials in the Store:
  1. Click Search from the Store navigation bar.
  2. Search in All Departments or select a department.
  3. Enter the keyword or phrase in the textbox. See Store Search Tips for details on how to use search.
  4. Click Submit to begin the query.
  5. The search results are displayed.

   Check your order status (Store)
   You can check your order status after you've successfully completed the order process. You must be logged in to CompuMaster Online Training to check your order status.

To check your order status:

  1. Go to the Store from the navigation bar at CompuMaster Online Training.
  2. Click Check Order Status in the Store navigation bar.
  3. View your order status on the Order Status page.

   Request an RMA number for returns (Store)
   CompuMaster Online Training accepts returns of resalable books provided the books are the current version, in the original shrink-wrap, have no stickers attached, are not designated special order status, and have been purchased within the last 45 days.

You must request an Returned Materials Authorization (RMA) number before you return a book. A Customer Service Representative will contact you and give you an RMA number, along with additional instructions on returning the book. You will not receive credit for books returned without an RMA number.

To request an RMA number:

  1. Go to the Store from the navigation bar at CompuMaster Online Training.
  2. Click Check Order Status in the Store navigation bar.
  3. Click the order # link to display the Order Status page.
  4. On the Order Status page, complete the required information in the Product Return Request area, then click Request.
  5. Read the information on the Product Return Request page concerning your order. A Customer Service Representative will contact you and give you an RMA number along with other information you'll need to know on returning the product.

   Purchase vLab sessions
   Any student may purchase vLab sessions through the Store. If you are enrolled in the Cisco library, your subscription includes 16 free vLab sessions. These sessions are organized around the Online Instructor-Led ICND course. As these sessions have been hand-picked to support the Online Instructor-Led ICND course, we recommend that these sessions be used with this or similar courses.

If you are currently enrolled in the Computer Professional, Hardware and Networking Operating System or MCSE library, you have the ability to enhance your subscription with 14 pre-selected labs to provide a broad-based exposure on the subject matter and to lay the foundation of fundamental knowledge needed for Microsoft Windows 2000 Server. These labs are listed in the Store as the "Starter Pack."

After you purchase a vLab session, you will see the vLabs exercises link on your My Courses page. This link takes you to your vLab Locker where you can view, schedule and plan your labs. Please note that it's important to schedule your vLab exercises ahead of time to ensure that the network equipment will be available for your use.

To purchase a vLab, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Store section of the site.
  2. On the Store departments page, select Internetworking for Cisco labs or Networking for Microsoft.
  3. Click vLab Sessions to display the vLab Sessions page. The vLab Sessions page explains system requirements and general information about vLabs Exercises.
  4. Choose to purchase either vLab bundles or individual vLab Sessions by clicking the appropriate link. Purchasing bundles is often more cost effective than individual sessions.
    vLab bundles are pre-packaged groups of labs that correspond to many of the courses available in a given library. The vLab Session Bundles page lists the bundles of labs available to you.
  5. Click either the lab bundle or session title for more information. You can begin the purchasing process on either the Session Bundles or Individual vLab Sessions page. These pages feature:
    • vLab Bundle or individual lab title: Click for a list of all labs contained in the bundle or more information about individual labs.
    • Type: Indicates whether the item is a bundle or individual lab.
    • Price: Listed in US$.
    • Add to Cart: Click this icon to select this item for purchase and continue shopping.
    • Buy Now: If you are finished shopping, click this icon to proceed to the checkout.
