An assessment is a predefined series of questions and answers related to a particular course. Assessments measure student knowledge at the course level. There are two types of assessments available to you on CompuMaster Online Training:
- Baseline assessment - An assessment taken by you before taking training in a particular course. If a predefined level of knowledge is not exhibited, the system automatically creates a recommendation that you take specific tutorials. Being required to take assessment depends on whether or not your Training Administrator has made it either optional or mandatory for you on CompuMaster Online Training.
- Follow-up assessment - An assessment taken by you after taking a course or tutorial, or after taking a baseline assessment for the same course. Follow-up assessments are optional, but if a follow-up assessment is taken, the result is matched against previous assessments taken by you for the same course. You will be prompted to take a follow-up assessment after completing all tutorials for a course via an on-screen message. In addition, email may be sent prompting you to complete follow-up assessments. The email prompting depends on whether or not your Training Administrator has enabled this feature for you.
Notes
- When taking a course assessment, you may fall below a predetermined level of knowledge. If so, the system automatically sends a recommendation that defines a path of topics for you to follow. Recommendations are made at the topic level.
- Access to this feature may not be part of your subscription. If you cannot see this feature on the site, ask your administrator about feature availability.
