   Browse for courses by department
(in Course Catalog)
We have the following departments at CompuMaster Online Training: Business, Databases, Design, Desktop, Internetworking, Net User and E-Business, Networking, Programming, Project Management, Webmaster, and Workplace Safety. These departments are displayed on the first page of the Course Catalog along with their descriptions. Each course is associated with a department. Note: Your company can choose to bypass the department page of the Course Catalog and instead display the contents of a special library set up just for your company. If this is the case, you will see a course listing similar to any other list of courses in the Course Catalog. See the other tasks you can perform in the Course Catalog for more information.

To view courses by department in the Course Catalog:

  1. Click the department name.
  2. A list of all courses, online instructor-led and self-study, is displayed for that department. (See a sample layout of course listings in the Course Catalog, and About Restricted Courses if a course is restricted.)

   Show Course Shortcuts toggle button
The Course Catalog offers a toggle button that allows you to hide or show information about department courses. The button default is Show Course Shortcuts. When you click this button, a listing of course information such as start or continue course for self-study courses, or registration and course availability information for online instructor-led courses, will appear to the right of the course title.

When this information is displayed, the Show Course Shortcuts button toggles to Hide Course Shortcuts. Clicking the Hide button will make the course information listed at the right disappear.

Note: The Show Course Shortcuts button is useful if you wish to quickly scroll through information about many different classes in a department. However, if you are sure of the course you wish to investigate, it is faster to simply click the title of the course. This action will bring you to the course syllabus page, which displays all the information concerning course availability, registering for and continuing courses -- and saves you from taking an unnecessary step.

If you need additional help, please go to Additional Reference Information.
