In the community forums, you can continue discussions from your classroom, strike up new discussions with graduates of other related classes, and find out what goes on in other CompuMaster Online Training classes. Community forums are accessed from the Student Union. Links to community forums are also found on the My Courses page.

Access to this feature may not be part of your subscription. If you cannot see this feature on the site, ask your administrator about feature availability.

Please spend some time exploring CompuMaster Online Training before you begin posting in the community forums. Read the main message board guidelines in the Additional Reference Information.

Some tips for community forum use

  • The community forums are student-to-student discussion areas. Receiving an answer for a non-CompuMaster Online Training question will depend on who visits the applicable forum. Community forum moderators, sysops, instructors, or students may not have the answer to your question.

  • Forum discussions focus on a diversity of topics. Remember that activities such as browser wars, product bashing, ethnic jokes, and political debates are inappropriate.

  • Please don't post the same question in more than one topic in a forum. Your community forum moderator may remove the duplicate posts without notice.

  • Audit students may post questions about their class work in the appropriate topic in a forum. If you do post this type of question, please include the name of the class, start date, and give any applicable reference information. Full students should use the applicable classroom or the General Student Discussion area for course specific questions. Please note that instructors are not required to visit or answer questions in the community forums. However, CompuMaster Online Training's community -- other students, community forum moderators, and staff -- often offer good resources and/or advice.

  • Because the forums have close dates, old messages are periodically purged from them. Keep this in mind and prepare your personal archive of those resources and tips and other valuable information that you would like to retain.

  • You may post the URL for your personal web site as long as both the URL and the contents of your site are in compliance with CompuMaster Online Training's Terms and Conditions. Don't forget that we have many young students enrolled in our classes.

  • Posts for any commercial purpose will be removed from public view. This includes posts for items for sale and solicitations of our students for any purpose. These posts may be removed without notice to the author.
